I think Paulie has an edge over the other two at the moment.

Paulie, then maybe Christopher. I don't think Bobby's going anywhere.

I don't like any of them anymore. Not one of them is showing any sort of humanity. Maybe they never did, but this go-round, they seem nothing but mean and ugly. Plus, everything is very slow-moving and seemingly without meaning. I keep thinking that in the next episode, they will start tying up some loose ends, but so far it hasn't happened. I'd like to know some other opinions. Anyone?

Tony, Paulie and Christopher in an ending like The Departed.

I don't find any of these characters particularly likable, Mom, except maybe Bobby. They've all been mean and ugly since the beginning. They'll probably meander a little more and won't start closing loose ends until the second to last episode.

OK, Christina, who's left standing?

Bobby. Anthony Jr. kills himself, Meadow and Carmela find him and after Tony is killed Carmela shoots Meadow and then herself (so they can all be together). Stevie Ray Vaughn's brother lives but leaves the business to join the East Street Band and Bobby is left to run the family. He replaces the pool table with a train set and wears his engineers hat everywhere.

Who are Stevie Ray Vaughn and his brother? I don't recall those names at all. Do you have an insider's book or something? That sounded a little too knowledgeable to me.

And Robbie, I know they've always been undesirable people, but a lot of times, they were permitted to show their ordinariness, their regular people side, so to speak. Now, it's just unremitting ugliness and it takes a lot out of me to watch it. Not that I won't . . .

I think she's referring to Stevie Van Zandt, who plays Silvio. He's in Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band. She put considerably more thought into her response than I expected. As for me, I just hope someone gets Janice.

Just want to clear things up. That's Phil making all those comments above. I think Paulie will go before Christopher. I can't stand him anymore. I used to love him.

Patsy was walking through the living room just as Tony was finishing off Christopher. She doesn't watch the show. After Tony was finished, he had blood on his hand, which he wiped on Christopher's jacket. Patsy's "Oh, nice" was just perfect.

I thought they said there would be nine episodes when they came back. We have watched four now and they're saying "only three more episodes left." What's up with that?

Not sure about all of that, Mom. I had also heard that some filming was done in New Orleans while Gandolfini was here for Mardi Gras. Don't know what to think.
