There may be spoilers below the fold. Read no further if you haven't finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Do not read the comments, either.
Bunk and two friends plus Stephen were at our neighborhood Wal-mart at midnight to get their copies of Harry Potter. They said there was a pretty big crowd there and they waited in line for a while. Bunk and his friends came back here at 12:50 and commenced reading. Bunk's friends were able to get ahead in the book while he fixed scrambled eggs for them all. They stayed up all night reading. I fixed them pancakes at 8:30. The stomachs filled with pancakes must have done the trick. Wade went upstairs to sleep, Bunk fell asleep on the sofa in the sunroom and his friend, Ryan, went home with only 200 pages left to go. Brianne went to a spend the night last night and stayed up until 3
0 a.m. just discussing theories with all the people there. She came home at 9
0 to begin reading her copy of the book. She succumbed to nigh-nigh though, too. I might just have to sneak one of their books away while they're sleeping and get a start on it myself. Happy reading to all fellow H. P. fans!

We decided to go see Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Saturday night. We usually let these blockbusters go the opening weekend because we like smaller crowds. Surprisingly, the crowd wasn't that bad at the 10PM showing. We both liked it. I know I'm in the minority but I think the movies are better than the books. Evanna Lynch as Luna Lovegood was perfect, Imelda Staunton was perfectly insufferable (As she should have been) as Professor Dolores Umbridge, and the rest turned in their reliable performances. Rowling has been hinting in the last few books that Ginnie might be the most formidable of all of the Weasleys. This movie put it on display. The climactic scenes at the ministry were excellent.
Samuel and I were playing hide-and-seek yesterday morning and I couldn't resist snapping a picture of him when I came across him sitting there with his eyes covered. He thinks he's invisible when he covers his eyes or sometimes he even will just close them tightly and think he can't be seen. Too cute! Luke's infancy is really flying by! He's starting to rock back and forth on his hands and knees, but no real crawling yet. He's definitely getting around though.
We're headed to Georgia tomorrow. We'll meet the Claytons at Stone Mountain to see the Laser Show tomorrow night and then on to the lake house for the weekend. Joey and Scott will have a "don't stop till you drop" type fishing weekend while the rest of us enjoy the beautiful scenery at the lake. We're looking forward to it. I'm making chicken salad right now for our trip and it really is a labor of love. Skinning those chickens is the most disgusting job ever!! This recipe is VERY time consuming but it makes a plentiful amount and is so worth the trouble. Yum yum!

Stephen and Kellie had us all over tonight for dinner - a delayed 4th of July celebration since they went to Kellie's family's house for the 4th. Stephen was taking a picture of the group and being corny as usual to get us ready for the picture. He said, "Say Kellie is a goober", "Say Kellie is pregnant." No one believed him initially because he always picks on her and says dumb things. Then I screamed, "Is she really pregnant?!" Then we all hugged and cried and we are all elated. The baby is due February 6. Please join us in wishing them well and praying for a healthy baby.
