Bunk and two friends plus Stephen were at our neighborhood Wal-mart at midnight to get their copies of Harry Potter. They said there was a pretty big crowd there and they waited in line for a while. Bunk and his friends came back here at 12:50 and commenced reading. Bunk's friends were able to get ahead in the book while he fixed scrambled eggs for them all. They stayed up all night reading. I fixed them pancakes at 8:30. The stomachs filled with pancakes must have done the trick. Wade went upstairs to sleep, Bunk fell asleep on the sofa in the sunroom and his friend, Ryan, went home with only 200 pages left to go. Brianne went to a spend the night last night and stayed up until 3:00 a.m. just discussing theories with all the people there. She came home at 9:00 to begin reading her copy of the book. She succumbed to nigh-nigh though, too. I might just have to sneak one of their books away while they're sleeping and get a start on it myself. Happy reading to all fellow H. P. fans!

Rob & Patsy’s copy came today, too

Remember. No spoilers allowed here.
Glad I didn't pay extra to "guarantee" that it would be here today. :)
I loved these pictures. Your sunroom looks just gorgeous, Sue. Well, so do all the people. And even the packaging for Robbie's book from -- who, UPS? -- is spectacular. It almost makes me sorry that I'm not involved. I said "almost."
P.S. I would read the last page. Or maybe the last ten pages. I would be sorry about it after, but still . . .
Ours came via the U.S. Postal Service aka Muggle Post.
Mine came today from UPS. I thought it was coming from USPS (I ordered it from Walmart.com) so was happily surprised when it showed up at noon instead of with the mail at 4 PM. I got so excited about it that I promptly got a an all day and night babysitter so I could read. And NO I will not be reading the last pages to find out how it ends. Where's the fun in that?
I took Asiyah and Hamzah (Aminah came along for the ride) to get their copies from Barnes and Noble at midnight. We had preordered but still found ourselves in group six. They were calling people up in groups of 100! We made it home by 1:30 and both started reading. Asiyah hasn't put hers down and is nearly finished.
I'm taking Hamzah and a friend camping so they'll both probably squeeze a few chapters in between fishing, swimming and biking. It's wonderful seeing a child who only read Dr. Seuss until 4th grade, pick up a book over 700 pages and devour it in less than a week!
Didn't think I'd get it first but I'm done. Patsy started it last night.
Danny's arrived via Muggle Post also. Joan had him over the weekend while Paul and I went to the cabin. Joan brought him back to our house to pick up the book and he finished yesterday. Joan and Ed also took him to see the movie Saturday night. I've only read the first book and have only seen the first two movies so I wasn't too excited to see the movie yet. Needless to say he likes spending the weekend with Joan. They're "funner" than we are...
I finished mine this morning. Can't wait to discuss with everyone.
I finished last night! Hurry up everyone!
