Katie asked me what color your suit was -- blue and white seersucker stripes -- and what color your socks were. I couldn't remember, but now that I've looked at them, I think they were red with white stripes. We weren't as fussy back then about matching. We were glad to have two that matched each other sometimes. She also asked your age and weight and I do know that: 6-1/2 months and 27 pounds. My mother always had a comment about the size of your hands. She considered them to be very large. I think they still are, aren't they? Now that I've looked at it again, and once again, I can say with all honesty that that is a gorgeous baby!! And not because I'm the mother. Really.

Now I have to clear something up. This is not the picture taken at D. H. Holmes when you were six months old. This is a picture taken at home by a traveling photographer who knocked on the door and asked if I had any children to photograph. And I said I did. Sue was five months old, so that makes you nineteen months old in this picture. That's more like it, don't you think? You have the Holmes picture too though. I wish you could find it and post it now that it's been brought up. And this is still a picture of a gorgeous baby I believe. Nothing changes that.
