John had planned to place an entry on the blog to thank all for the hospitality shown him (and me) during his 3+ months in New Orleans but he just hasn't had time. After 28 days at home and a trip to the Black Hills, he was called to come back to New Orleans. He left on Friday, Sept. 28th and is staying at the Mariott on the Lake for now, may move hotels in the future. He reports in to Baton Rouge this am to find out the whole scoop. So, thanks to all for everything and you may be hearing from him again,

I've reminded John several times that he has to check out Phil's. He changed hotels and is now at the Hampton Inn in Harahan. Maybe I'll have to come down so we both can check it out!!
That's right near our house, Nancy! We'd love to get together with him. I usually go to the restaurant at least once a week. Tell him to call me. Email me and I'll give you my phone number. Let me say though, we have a very busy schedule right now. Both boys are in sports and boy scouts & we usually aren't free until Thurs or Fri night. But, we can probably figure something out.
