Halloween 2007

We had a great time at Elizabeth's house last night. She had her annual Halloween party followed by trick-or-treating in her neighborhood. The cousins all enjoyed each other's company. Samuel and Polina trick or treated together while Mary Catherine and Julia and their friends took Joe and Jackson around. The younger children were with the older children to give them credibility as they did their own trick-or-treating. After receiving candy from the second house on our trek, Samuel exclaimed, "Me wuv twick-or-tweat!" Whenever he was given a choice of candy to take, he always went for the suckers despite my encouraging him to go for the chocolate. It was a fun night with great weather!

Great costumes. Samuel is smart to go for the suckers. They last longer. Chocolate disappears rapidly. It's almost as if someone else is eating it.

"It's almost as if someone else is eating it?" Like who? What does that mean? Am I just imagining slights and slander here???? I totally deny these innuendos.

The pictures are wonderful. I just loved Samuel's pirate costume. And Luke's cowboy was good too. And so was the fireplace picture of all the people. Missing Jim and Molly though.

It was a lovely evening, wasn't it?

Guilty conscience, Mom?

Luke and Samuel looked adorable! Everyone else looks great too. I saw a few of those padded muscle costumes in my neighborhood. Those are cute. I loved Supergirl's costume!

Patrick won the category of "most creative" in our neighborhood costume contest. It is the 3rd year that he's won it and I'm sure those other chidren are thinking, "That big kid needs to give up the trick-or-treating!" He's already planning next year's costume.

This year he dressed as a waffle house cook. He looked pretty authentic. Stephen let him borrow his tatoo sleeves which he wore on his arms. He had a white button down dress shirt folded up to right beneath his elbows. He had a Waffle House nametag that he made, thier hat and a black apron. He wore black pants and black shoes. We took a picture but I'd have to get someone to put it on here. Maybe one day, I'll get around to it.
