Happys All Around

If I had known a birthday and anniversary were on the horizon, I'd have bought a cake when we went out to lunch. Congratulations to all of you. Enjoy your day...anything special planned?

Nancy -- You missed a good birthday party Sunday night. Janine's son, Aaron, made a wonderful chocolate cake. Food was ordered in from Reginelli's, a favorite Italian pizza/sandwich shop. Angela's family was getting ready to leave when Samuel went into the bedroom where everyone had been playing. He came out in shock and disbelief, saying, "There's no kids in the blue room!" He couldn't believe his fun night playing with all his cousins was already over. And then yesterday, my birthday and Katie's 25th anniversary (Kevin is in Idaho visiting his ailing father), we went to an early movie called "Gone Baby Gone," and afterwards to dinner at Dick and Jenny's. This was quite a bit better food-wise than Nat and Maddie's, but the decor/ambiance was the same -- a 150-year old shotgun house in a crummy neighborhood turned into a restaurant with a huge clientele. We said we'd definitely return. The movie was grim but powerful and we both gave it a thumbs up.
