Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

Last week Nicole performed in Buffalo High School's version of Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. She was a dancer and also played Jacob's wife, mother of Joseph. She had an absolute blast dancing (she just wanted some part in the musical). She's had only minimal dance lessons (yes, another thing I should have made her doguess l'll never get Mom of the year), but loves to dance so I was happy that she made the cut. Kyoko helped with the set; making the pyramid and then with the stage crew. It was a good opportunity for her to meet some new people and have something outside of school to do. I tried to take some pictures but with all the different lighting, they didn't really turn out all that great. As you can see it was a big production and it was very well attended. Nicole said things went well but that she (and others) missed Ashley in the costume room.

That looks like a big production. Fun, fun.

Wonderful pictures of a HUGE cast. Their theater department must be really well-funded and well-attended by students and well-staffed by teachers. This was a nice thing for Kyoko to take part in -- behind the scenes but a part of the celebration. Did Ashley get to come home for it? Nicole is so pretty!

Carol, your pictures came out great. The one of the whole cast is beautiful. I love that play and the music in it.

Aunt Ginnie,
No, Ashley wasn't able to come home for the production 'cause she was involved in a musical at college. She was doing hair, make up and also back stage help. She was so sad to have missed the performance. The high school has a very strong "Arts" program that struggles with continued budget cuts, but so far keeps pluggin' along.

That looks like a huge production for a high school! It's great that your girls are so interested in the arts.
