Happy New Year to you!!! Best wishes for a healthy, prosperous 2008. I worked till 11p last night and made it home by midnight. Today John and I met Gary and Sally for brunch. Quite an uneventful start to the new year(which may be a good thing?!).

Thanks, Nancy. Same to you. I worked Monday. I picked up dinner on the way home and we had a quiet evening. New Year's Day was glorious as you can probably see in the photo. A bit cold, though. 30s or low 40s, I think. I got out in it on the bicycle but the icy wind pretty much wore me out.

I, too, had an uneventful evening and New Year's
Day, though I think brunch excludes you from being able to say that, Nancy. Julia spent the night at David's. He had his usual extravaganza. And Aaron spent the night out too. Michael and I ate one snack after another - while watching IFC's "The whitest men u know" or something like that. They remind me of "Kids in the Hall", only they are a little bit more juvenile. We stepped outside at midnight to watch the displays going on in the subdivision across the street. What a waste of money, but nice show for us.

I worked last night at my newest job, cocktail waitressing at Snug Harbor - which is on the outskirts of the French Quarter. Katie and KayKay stopped in for a while and caught some of Charmaine Neville's show. I was very alert before driving home, but the longest bridge in the world is so soothing and womb-like in the dark of night. I have to do maneuvers like sitting up straight, changing the radio station, checking mile markers on the side - anything to keep myself from slipping into the arms of Morpheus. ('sleep' to those of you who don't know that)

I will work tonight too. And I have a consult this afternoon - so no nap. Coffee will take it's place.

Peace and Happy New Year to all.

Another uneventful New Years eve as well as day......New years eve I had to bring in the new year at work I got home abot 12:45 am took some nyquill (the cold thing). Worked again New Years Day!! Oh well!!!
