1949 Started dress. Saw “Lady in Ermine”
1950 16˚ below zero. Saw “Inspector General” with Anna
1952 21˚ below zero. School let out early because of snow
1957 Surprise baby shower at Margaret Lilly’s given by girls at work
1958 Went house hunting. Saw “Don’t Go Near the Water”
1959 Went to lunch at Charlie’s with Katie, Pat, and Patti
1960 Decided to put Sue back in diapers. Still hasn’t caught on after 8 weeks
1961 Took Robbie to dentist for first checkup. Excellent condition.
Got Noël medicine for back. Ate at House of Lee with F’s
1985 Lab and schools closed because of freeze. Robbie’s ceiling caved in
1987 Shopped for dresses for A&C – Holmes $24 – cute
1988 Visited Katie – she’s pregnant, due 8/28
1989 Sam to DisneyWorld for sales meeting
1990 Angela has pneumonia

I remember the ceiling caving in as if it were yesterday. Rolling out of bed after a short nap and stepping into 6 inches of icy water is not something you forget.
I think I remember that first trip to The House of Lee, too. I remember Popsicle sticks as the parking lot surface and eating fried "schwimps" as the waitress called them.
Is the Charlie's you refer to in 1959 perhaps Charlie's Steakhouse on Dryades?
