Spring (?) Prom

Playin' with snow on Prom day This past weekend was Buffalo High School's Prom. The weather was unseasonably cold. Snow, wind, and more wind was the weather of the day. Both Nicole and Kyoko went to Prom and had a great time in spite of the weather. Today we woke up to 23 degrees...BRRRR! Anyway, here are some photos of Prom day. (P.S. Ashley made Nicole's dress, lucky her)

Darling. Just darling girls. Too bad about the weather, but it IS Minnesota, and it looks like everyone is happy anyway. Both dresses look lovely.

Yeah, I think Nicole is looking more like me these days. Although, I've always thought she had a lot of "Tompkins" in her. Earlier pictures of her looked identical to Dan. Weird huh?

Wonderful pictures, Carol! Both girls look so pretty all dressed up! Their dates look very snazzy, too! Did the girls wear coats over their dresses? I sure hope the dance was warm enough for the girls to be in such slinky dresses. I don't understand why all formal or semi-formal gowns have no sleeves or little matching jackets! Even here, where we have many hot nights, it is usually cold because of the A/C.

I am really impressed with Ashley making Nicole's beautiful dress! I love that she didn't have to worry about running into another girl with the same dress. Was Nicole appropriately impressed and appreciative?

It is so nice to hear that they had a good time!

Beautiful dresses and pretty girls in them! Nicole does look just like you, Carol, in the first picture. I can just picture you making the same expression!
