A little blog information: If you'd like to comment on anything like you always have, just click on the little thing above the entry that looks like a cartoon quote cloud, fill in your name and email address and check on the "Remember Info" box if you like, and add your comment. That's what the software is referring to as anonymous. If you have a picture of yourself that you like and would like that posted next to your name in both comments and entries like I'm doing, sign in and go to "Edit Profile" by your name and upload the picture. That is a shampoo ginger. Did you get it from me? Maybe Bobbette? I got this ginger from the estate that I use to do garden maintenance for. Mark Holmes got me the job, and I used to give him whatever we were separating. Anyway, lightly rub the leaves. It gives off a nice clean soapy smell. Neat flowers too, don't you think?
I don't remember planting it, Katie, but maybe I did. If so, it wasn't recently or my memory is really bad. Is it possible that it skipped a growing season or two? They're lovely and they are taking over that trouble spot I had next to the ramp. I will try rubbing the leaves later today.
