Barrett the Bear

Here is a picture of Barrett in his Halloween costume. We didn't go
trick-or-treating, but he did help hand out some candy. Barrett
stayed up until 8:45 (late for him) and then we followed him an hour
later. (I know...our Friday nights are lame!) On another note,
Barrett had a doctor appointment yesterday. He weighs 19.05 lbs
(25%), and is 27" long (10%). He also has two teeth now...so we have
to be careful when sticking our fingers in his mouth.

Wonderful pictures. He looks like he's ready to step out in the second one, but I haven't heard that he's walking yet. Are his gorgeous brown eyes remarkable in your family? When I took my two-month old first child to visit my blue-eyed, yellow haired, typing-paper-white family, everyone gathered round to admire and exclaim over his big brown eyes and his very dark skin tone. One neighbor lady came in to admire him as I was getting him dressed and she exclaimed, "Oh, look, even his tummy is tanned." (The dodo!)

Cute, cute little bear!

He looks precious! I could eat him up. Can't wait to see him in a few weeks!

Precious baby bear. I can't believe he's only in the 25th percentile for weight. He's a big boy. I thought at the very least, 50th percentile. I can't wait to see him in a few weeks. This time, we have to put Jude & Barret together for a picture.

He's so cute in his bear outfit. Fits him perfectly. I worked until 5 am on Halloween. Snug Harbor, and Frenchman St, are the place to be if you are an adult. We were busy, busy. I saw some great costumes. I dressed as "Sally" from "Nightmare Before Christmas". Katie was a pirate wench.

I got to bed at 6 am the next morning. Usually, when I am not working, I can't keep my eyes open until 10, and most of the time way before that. Even after getting to bed at 6 am, I was up by 9 that morning. Just can't sleep in. Always something to do, or a ride to give one of these teens. It won't be long before they're independently driving. I look forward to that. I may resent not having a car when I need it, but I have a feeling I'll get along just fine without it.

Julia spent the night at Shelby's and trick-or-treated with her and Matt. Aaron trick-or-treated with Ischelle. He dressed as a Harry Potter with a horrbly-gone-wrong experiment that miss-shaped his face or something. Nobody got a picture of either of them. Shoot. Michael watched tv that night. I missed our traditional holiday at Elizabeth's. Maybe next year...

Cute bear!! Such a fun age. How are you feeling Kellie?

What an adorable little bear! Keep the pictures coming and I'll have a classroom full of Barrett pictures. I have his picture in my classroom library for silent reading (the one where Barrett is sitting on a lounge chair reading at the pool)and now I can use this great "Baby Bear" picture to go with our unit on life cycles and baby animals:)
