Nancy and I went to the St. Paul Winter Carnival on Saturday. They have snow and ice carvings that are spectacular. It was an unusually warm day. It started out about 31 degrees and ended up at 46 when we left about 2pm. The 'title' picture is for all of you "Chilly Willy's ". Aside from the cool sculptures and spending the day with my sister, my favorite part was the mini donuts. YUM!!! All in all we had a very fun day together romping in the snow.

I take it that's not a heated bathroom in the photo?

Love the pig driving the tractor.

These are just wonderful pictures, Carol. I only went to this carnival one time when I was about eight or nine years old. I was frozen solid before the night was done, but I do remember an ice castle that was all blue lights and very beautiful. I don't have a very clear memory of this, but it seems to me there was nothing on the scale of what you saw. Those ice sculptures are just unbelievable. Robbie said he liked the pig driving the tractor -- that was the one I told Nancy I liked best when she e-mailed me a few pictures. We must be family, Robbie and I.
