Duncan and Nikki - July 1984
When we went to pick him up, the breeder had different colored collars on all of the puppies. The red, green, blue, and orange collared puppies came to the front of the kennel and wanted desperately for us to pick them up. The one with the yellow collar had gotten out and received a newspaper swat. He had his back to us and the saddest eyes you ever saw. His eyes twinkled as soon as Patsy talked to him and he just had to come home with us.

Lovely picture. I had forgotten how fine Duncan looked with his full coat of lush, beatiful fur. Nikki was already a big boy at two months! I wonder where you were standing so that you were looking down on them?
Had to be standing near them. Nikki passed Duncan in size almost immediately. Took maybe a month. He's still smaller here, though.
Robbie, why no more dogs? Nikki looks so cute.
Dogs are too hard without a fence, Christina. Their mortality is no picnic, either.
