And that means it was time to get our swing set and build it. Thank goodness Joey comes from a family of boys because that swing set was quite an endeavor! We picked up all the pieces one day and had Samuel call all of his uncles and Joey's dad that night to ask if they would come help build it. He was so cute on the phone and so excited about it that they really had no other answer but, "I would love to help." His brothers and dad came over one Sunday afternoon and worked well into the night on the first part, the fort/slide part. Then they all came back last Friday night and finished the swing part. Samuel and Luke love their new swing set! I'll be cooking the brothers all dinner this week for all their help.
The other spring event here is raising our monarch butterflies. We have milkweed and several caterpillars so we collected two and they each made a chrysalis. One hatched last week so we fed it for a couple of days and let it go yesterday. Samuel loves bugs- a little too much for my taste, but I try not to "ruin" him with my own fears. I love the great weather we're having. I'm so thankful that winter is over! Now I only wish June 8 would be next week!

Wonderful pictures. Looks like the men did a stellar job putting it all together. There's one picture of the little boys that makes me smile every time I look at it. Samuel is holding something (?) in his fingers and has the silliest expression on his face. Really cute pictures of everyone enjoying the back yard. Thanks.
Nice pics, Angela. I didn't remember the back yard being that big.
Cute pictures of cute boys.
That's the butterfly Samuel's holding, Mom. Good for you not to pass on your bug phobias, Angela. I had Polina and Joe here a couple of weeks ago, and Joe was chiding Polina about being afraid of flying things. Her response was, "Mom's afraid of them, so I am too, Joe."
The boys and their sibling (soon enough) will love playing on their swingset. Every backyard should have one. I love how designers have put forts on them now.
Nice pics of all your boys and their new toy! They will enjoy that for many years. Janine's comment leads me to think there will be another Hunter coming soon???? Glad you are having spring weather---we are chilly 30 today and rain/snow mix in the forecast, yuk.
