John and I took the train to Whitefish,MT and Glacier Nat'l Park last week. We had sun, rain, sleet, and snow while there. Saw mule deer, elk, mountain goats, antelope, and coyotes. Didn't see any bear(that's a good thing). We stayed at a B&B, had great food everywhere we went. While the weather was less than ideal we both agreed we'd have to come back again, even on the train with the cramped sleeping quarters, to see what we couldn't, didn't see on this trip.

Glacier National Park

That sounds like a nice trip. I regret I didn't get to visit anywhere, but Los Angeles while I lived out west for four years.
Breathtaking, Nancy. Great pictures. That's the kind of vacation I want to take.
Did you take the Great Northern? Did you have a compartment or bunk beds? The train must have left at 5 or 6 p.m. -- I remember taking that train from Chicago and that was about the time it arrived in Minneapolis. Maybe. It was awhile ago! Your pictures are just wonderful, especially of that one mountain pointing at the sky. Centered perfectly, you photographer you. Thanks for sharing.
That really sounds like a trip we need to take! Beautiful pictures. And I agree it's a good thing not to see a bear!
Awesome views! Wow, it looks absolutely gorgeous. I'm glad you had a good time in spite of the weather. Can't wait to hear more about it. (soon)
