Meeting the family

Wyatt got to meet his big brother at the hospital on Friday. Barrett was very interested in him and had plenty of kisses to give. He also pointed out some body parts that are familiar to him like his head, nose, and feet. Since we have been home, Barrett has been super sweet with his baby brother. He loves to kiss and hug him. We just have to
keep reminding him to be gentle. He is also enjoying some of the baby items that we have around like the pacifier and the swing. I was surprised that he knew what to do with the pacifier since he never really used one.

Flick was introduced to the baby when we got home from the hospital and she noticed the pack-n-play was back in the living room. She took a peek in to see what was inside. I am sure she scoffed when she realized it was another baby. It amazes me how the newborn cry gets her attention though. Any time the baby cries, she perks up and wants
to assess the situation. On the other hand, when Barrett cries, she just minds her own business. Despite the neglect we're sure Flick feels, she is great with both boys. She sure loves those newborn kisses! Between Flick and Barrett, Wyatt can barely catch his breath.

I have had to say several times already, "You two, leave the baby alone! He is sleeping!" It is like we have three kids instead of two. Thanks to all for the well wishes. We are adjusting well enough, but Stephen goes back to work tomorrow and isn't too excited about it.

Only two more weeks though and he will be home for summer break.

Great pics. Love the last one but also love the one with Flick burying her nose in the case.

Congratulations, Stephen and Kellie,

Great pictures! Flick looks like a deer when he is checking out the baby in the playpen.

I can't get over how much Barrett looks like Stephen did at that age.

Who does Wyatt look like?

Wonderful pictures. I love Barrett testing the pacifier. And Flick checking out the carrier -- I'm guessing Wyatt was in place there? Is that a playpen for later with a hanging basket for now? Pretty neat. I've never seen that before. Uncle Robbie was 14 months old when I brought baby Sue home. He called her "nnnnnnn," a sort of snorting noise through the nose which he kept up for a very long time. It's a magical time for young parents and I know you will just love every moment of it.

Kellie and Stephen and Barrett, congratulations!
What great pictures of your oldest son meeting his new brother!! They are going to have so much fun growing up together and being pals. I am so happy for you both. Know too that it does go by so so fast... savor every minute and when you feel tired and grumpy due to lack or sleep etc...just take a deep breath ,smile, and know too that this shall pass. Enjoy these boys! They are wonderful blessings!
much love, Sarah

cute, cute, cute photos. thanks for the update.

Two precious boys. Barrett with a noo-noo is cute. Love the pictures. The one of Flick investigating is priceless. How you have time and energy to make an entry is beyond belief, Kellie.

Kellie has time to make entries for one reason and one reason alone: she has a fantastic husband. (So I hear any way.)

Stephen -- is that you?

Hey Kellie,

I love these precious pictures. I am ready to see more of your cute wee ones. Tell that fantastic husband of yours to upload some new ones...since he has so much free time right now - NOT.
