Savannah is 10 days old now. She's doing very well and gets prettier and prettier every day (if I do say so myself!) Samuel and Luke are very pleased with their little sister. My sister was visiting the other day and holding Savannah and when she got up she said, "Oh, I need to get going home now,'" and Samuel said in a very serious matter-of-fact tone, "Leave the baby here." We laughed, but he was very serious! Samuel has said since we first told him that we were having a baby that I was having a girl. I'm glad we didn't disappoint him! Around Christmas time he started saying that he wanted to name the baby, "Baby Christmas Tree" and he would tell everybody that's what we were naming the baby. I would laugh and say "no way" but he kept up the joke throughout the rest of the pregnancy. When my sister told Jackson and Jacob that she was coming to visit me in the hospital, they both said "aw, I want to go see Baby Christmas Tree." Joey thinks her nickname will be C.T., but that won't fly with me. His brothers are also referring to her as Baby Christmas Tree. I've added a bunch of pictures, but one of my favorites is the first diaper change. Joey had the honor of changing the first diaper and the boys had just come to the hospital to see her for the first time so they had to supervise. Joey's mom and dad are thrilled to have a girl for the first time in their family. He's one of 4 boys so all of their neighbors and church friends and family are excited for them as well.

Joey, Angela, Samuel, Luke, and Savannah

I love the first diaper change, too. Love the "Proud Big Brother" signs, too.
Wonderful pictures, Angela. And you are so right: every day she is prettier and prettier. My favorite is the yellow and pink picture -- it shows her beautiful head of abundant black hair to great advantage. Thank you for taking the time to post these.
She is so cute! Brianne and I love her coordinating outfit/socks/hairbow/blanket. What a precious doll!
What a beautiful baby!! Samuel's a funny boy. Love the diaper change picture.
And you look so slender for just having a baby, Angela. You WERE all baby. Looked like you had a perfect basketball under your shirt.
I have to brag, Sue. That was the outfit I gave her. It's from Gymboree. My sister started that tradition nearly 11 years ago when Jackson was born. She gave me an entire outfit, complete with coordinating accessories for him. She did it again when Jacob & Jude were born and I did it for her when Samuel and Luke were born and now for Savannah. We both love Gymboree's clothes. It was a lot of fun shopping for her and it took me a long time to decide on what to get!
Great pictures and a beautiful family. Looks like everyone is feeling well and adjusting to the new addition. congratulations again.
cute, cute children (all of them)! Lucky you!!
I love all the pictures! Everyone looks great.I must say, Angela, that you look amazing! You really don't look like you had a baby, much less almost a 9 pounder.
I am a little jealous of all the coordinating outfits and cute accessories. Congratulations on your girl! How fun!
