Found these pictures in an old scrapbook I hadn't looked at in a long time. Not sure what this event was. It was held in Mom and Dad's old kitchen (Before renovation). They're all old Polaroids. If there are dates on the back of them, I can't get to them without destroying them so I'm going to guess they were from 1981 or 1982. I had more hair then.

Geraldine, Red, Grandpa F, Dad, and Rick C

Wonderful wonderful wonderful. It is a shame, though, that Polaroids don't have a long life so far as clarity goes. The one of you and Patsy is priceless! Loved your hair, though don't remember your wearing it so long! And Daddy's beard -- I like the way he looks with it. Someone asked him once how long he was going to keep it, and he replied that he'd shave it off whenever his mother quit complaining about it. She always told him "he looked like Willie Nelson." Willie Nelson, to her, looked "doity" so that was a pretty gross insult. Well, he finally did get tired of it on his own and shaved it, and then it took four or five visits and finally he had to call his mother's attention to his new look. She hadn't even noticed. Grandma looked so pretty, didn't she? Geraldine too. Thanks for posting.
Some of this is age but most of my indoor pictures taken at your house have that yellowish tinge to them due to a combination of the yellow paint, the camera, and the terrible photographer. Adding to the poor quality is the cellophane sheet from the photo album that is covering them. Still, you get the gist. Any idea what this event was about? It must have been cool because the window is open.
It was during the Christmas season, if not the day itself. Do you remember Rick eating with us ever? They are really nice pictures of such nice people.
I think you're right. Looks like Christmas decorations.
Fun pictures. Lloyd looks just like Patsy did, only she's prettier, of course. It's cool to see how everyone looked when they were much younger. Grandpa never really changed that much in all his years. Daddy did look scruffy in that picture. Grandma has a nice smile on her face.
Grandpa and Grandma both got thin and frail towards the end, Janine, but how they look in this picture is how I'll always remember them. My couple of attempts at a beard came out just like Dad's. Never again. :)
