We had a good time at the beach too, although sitting by the beach was not what it used to be back in the day...PRE-KIDS! Kellie & I both brought books to read and did very little, if any. Sleeping patterns changed dramatically as well. With both the boys in our bedroom, it was hard to sleep in past 6:30. One would stir (usually Barrett) and then wake up the other...and then we were all awake. Oh, how glorious it was to be back home and all in our own beds!! I think we slept in until 80.

Fort Walton Beach - July 2009

I took Jude to the Children's Hair Palace to get his first haircut. It came with a certificate and a keepsake lock of his hair! Surprisingly, as white as his hair is, it doesn't look that white when it's cut off. The lock looks more dirty blonde than white. It was the best first haircut we've gotten. It was all over in 15 minutes and he did great. A little crying, but overall very good. And he looks like a little boy now, not a baby anymore!! Check out the pictures! Now he's all ready for his first beach pictures!!

Jude's First Haircut

Mom called me this morning to tell me an old neighborhood friend died. I'm so sorry to hear of Joey's death. Joey and I grew up together on Moisant but I hadn't seen him in over 30 years. Very sad to hear of someone so young passing.
