Autumns' fight against the snow - October 12, 2009
We have more snow today (it snowed on Saturday too) and it's really pretty even if it's really early. After the weird weather of the past few months this shouldn't surprise any of us. Good thing Aunt Ginnie got out of town before the snow came.
That is beautiful! We had about 90 degree weather today. We're supposed to get a cool front this weekend with the highs being near 70!!
What a wonderful picture. Is that sumac? When I was driving in Wisconsin there were a lot of comments about the sumac not being pretty, not changing color yet. Yours looks glorious -- I'm guessing that's somewhere on your property? The snow looks like that heavy, wet stuff; not light and fluffy. Really pretty. I wouldn't have minded seeing snow. A few years ago, when I left Remer there was a 3" snowfall the night before. Your dad had to scrape it off my windshield and back window. That was in early October.
Yes, Aunt Ginnie, that is sumac and it's on the side of the driveway. We really have not had that spectacular of a colorful fall. Christina, I like the idea of highs in the 70's...90 would be too hot for us right now. We're s'pose to get to 50-60 this weekend. Goofy weather.
That's a very pretty picture. We had a cold front move in and our high was 62 today. We are using our heater tonight for the first time this year.
We're getting cooler tomorrow- high of 77 and then upper 60s on Sat. and Sun. Tomorrow will be just right for me! Don't like having to use the heater!!
