Halloween 2009

I graciously assumed the role of Halloween hostess to the cousins from Elizabeth this year. I had to borrow some of her festive dishes because I don't have as quite an extensive collection as she does. My house decorations really don't compare to hers, but that takes more effort than Joey will allow! We all had fun, but I did notice that there weren't that many houses participating. That could be because my neighborhood association puts on a block party and that's where most of the trick-or-treaters were. My kids had enough but I think some of the older cousins were wishing for more.

Savannah turned 5 months old the next day. She started turning from her back to her front now, and she gets up on all 4's and rocks. Then she lunges forward toward her toy. She's hitting these milestones way too fast! My baby needs to stay a baby longer than this!!

Joey is leaving tomorrow for 7 nights in Pike County, Illinois for a bow hunting trip with 8 other guys from his hunting camp. One of the guys who was supposed to go with them had to cancel because he is pitching for the Yankees in the World Series (Chad Gaudin)! When they booked the trip last year he had no idea he'd be where he is now. Go Yankees! I'm sure I will need a long spa day after 7 days by myself with 3 little people! Mama, I don't know how you managed with all your little people when Daddy went out of town!

Cute, cute photos. Fun costumes. And...you and your sister get extra points for dressing up too. Savannah, five months old...how'd that happen so fast. What fun. Tell Joey good luck hunting.

Is that Jackson in the Grim Reaper costume? Cool outfits.

Yes, that's Jackson as the Grim Reaper. Angela was Wendy (she had to tell me that and then she had to say from Peter Pan because I didn't know who Wendy was; Peter Pan and I never were friends) and Christina was Raggedy Ann. They looked great. Well, the little people looked great too. Wonderful picture of Savannah, age FIVE MONTHS. Good luck to Joey in Illinois and good luck to Chad pitching for the Yankees. Was he a Rummel classmate?

Wonderful pictures! Savannah is so photogenic.

Thank you, Sue. She's photogenic when I'm the one snapping the picture and making a fool of myself to get her to smile. When I'm in the picture with her she usually looks like a blob. Others can't seem to get her to smile on cue.

Great pictures! Love the one of Savanah! She is such a pretty girl!
