And a happy belated one to you, Robbie. Did you have a good day yesterday?
I went to Lundi Gras with Michael. We ate at the "Grand Isle" restaurant next to Harrahs; salty, seasoned and fried seafood. We were so thirsty later. "Cowboy Mouth" was playing down on Fulton Street, and some band was playing at the wharf. We caught the last leg of Orpheus parade - and two stuffed dragons (souvenirs for the two people we left at home.) Then we went to Snug Harbor for a little of Charmaine Neville and a shot of tequila (for me). We spent the night at my bff Cathy's. Floor-sleeping is not for 50 year old people. We groaned and made our way to being upright after that. 50 is glorious, eh? lol. We had good intentions of catching Zulu, or Mardi Gras Indians meeting up in the wee hours, but drinking coffee and commiserating with Cathy was more fun. Michael and I costumed, had leftover salty, fried food for breakfast, and went to Mardi Gras in the French Quarter. It was some way to celebrate my half century mark. Woo hoo to the next half...
Yes, I had a nice day. There were a lot of people celebrating my birthday yesterday down in New Orleans. You must have seen them. I didn't know some of them. :) Patsy made me pork chops and Rice-A-Roni like we used to get on Moisant. Still one of my faves.
