Playoffs according to Ed Daniels

Daniels on the Saints first playoff game:

If the Saints win January 16, they'll be playing February 7 in Miami.

Don't know if I buy that but I do know what the oddsmakers will say.

The oddsmakers will have the Saints favored to beat any first round opponent. Doesn't matter if it's the Eagles, Packers, or Cardinals. The Saints will be favored.

If they do win as oddsmakers expect, they'll also be favored against any opponent in the championship game. Doesn't matter if it's the Packers, Cardinals, Cowboys, or Vikings. The Saints will be favored.

Crank this mother up.

I tend to agree with Ed in the sense of "season of destiny" or whatever. If the Saints can just get by the first game...

The flip side of this is that we have all been Saints fans long enough to have witnessed time and again, just when you think you've seen everything, the Saints can come up with a new way to rip your heart out. And losing the game to go to the Super Bowl in the Dome would be an all-time high/low.

You know the feeling I am talking about where the Saints are Lucy holding the ball and we are all a collection of Charlie Browns. This time they are really going to do it...AAAAAAAAAAAAUGH!!!!!!!

Great analogy. Us Saints fans will always be a collection of Charlie Browns but this Charlie Brown is hoping Peppermint Patty is holding the ball this time.

No team in the NFL ever won a Super Bowl ... until they did.
