USC steps on their d%cks

Well, who saw this coming?

I disagree with Ventre. They'll tumble a few spots. Maybe even out of the top ten but they'll climb back up and will probably be in the hunt again as long as they don't lose a second game. I think it takes a little pressure off of the SEC teams. If there's a one loss SEC Champion, they'll be in the BCS, probably against a one loss or undefeated Big 12 team or a undefeated Big Ten team. If there's a one loss Big Ten champ, better to send them to the Rose Bowl to play USC. From here, it looks like the SEC champ v the Texas/Oklahoma winner but it's still early.

It should be clear to everyone that the SEC is a notch above all other conferences in football ... as much as it pains some to admit it.

Rob, you know I hate USC as much as anybody else who bleeds purple and gold, but the media just loves to tear down the people they've built up. It's the nature of the beast. Wait until LSU loses. Les Miles will be the stupidest coach who ever lived.

And your right, they could still end up back in the hunt. Hell, LSU was written off after the Arkansas game last year and that was week 12. You'd think after last year's crazy season these guys would have learned something.

But, they need readers. I think these guys just love to oversensationalize, make a big headline - "HEY READ WHAT I HAVE TO SAY! I KNOW EVERYTHING!"

Speaking of that, from John Walters today: http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/26896931/

If you tuned into ESPN on Thursday night, you watched a three-hour testimonial as to why college football is a three-touchdown favorite over the NFL and always will be … as long as the sport avoids the temptation of a playoff.

Why the f&ck would a playoff diminish last night's event? That agenda annoys me to no end.

Since you've already used two "&$"s in this post, I won't try to annoy you any further.
