It appears, to me at least, that owners took a much more timid approach to their auctions in 2009. Even in the CFFL, where there are no tags, caution ruled the day. Only Drew Brees cracked the $50 mark. In Ya Boys, I think Your Worst Nightmare had an offer for Adrian Peterson that might have gone over the $50 mark but I'd have to check to be sure. I think he was the only one.

I think removing one transition tag in Ya Boys was a good move, probably the first move towards eliminating them altogether. I still like the way it gets the guys to start thinking about fantasy football before, well, the drive to the auction. I don't have the inclination to fight it and I'm not so opposed to their elimination as I once was. I doubt we'll ever return to the wild west excitement of the early auction days but I think experience is more responsible for that than the tags.

Seems quarterbacks go for a lot more in the CFFL than they do in Ya Boys. They used to go for a lot in the early days of Ya Boys. I don't make much of it.
