I like B. :)

I like B also, but both are at least as good as the parking lot abstract!

A has a "spiral staircase" effect. B is another angle of the same stump. Patsy likes A better.

I like "A" because that's the angle from which I first saw it and it immediately sparked my imagination. I saw it as a spiral staircase for woodland insects. Can't you here the crickets singing, "Stairway to heaven"?
Yeah, okay... it's past my bedtime or I wouldn't have put that in print.

i rather like both of them for different reasons...A, because nature is amazing and so are mushrooms and B, because it looks like a human driven piece of art. one has more mystery and one is more believable....does that make sense?

I think calling anything I do "art" is stretching things a bit but I appreciate it, j. I surely agree that nature is amazing. I like B better but that probably has more to do with light and focus than composition.

Thanks, Kem. The wife is the only one who liked A but she saw this thing in the yard first. Said it might make an interesting photo. I'm not sure the light on A does it justice but I surely liked B better in the viewfinder.
