TSO and a CrabAppleLane Sunday
As mentioned here earlier, we went to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra last night. They played for about 2 hours and 45 minutes. Kind of a throwback to an earlier era because hardly anyone plays more than two hours any more. The first part of the show is their well known Christmas stuff, complete with narrator. Bits of that were slow and the segment ran about 4 songs too long but some of it, particularly Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24 is amazing. The second part of the show was them just having fun. We enjoyed that a lot. The music was very loud and clean. The light show and pyrotechnics were fantastic. It was well worth the trip into New Orleans. See them if you can.

Quote of the Day
Most people buy personalized plates simply because they want to tell the world they are special. They wrote an ode to themselves and they want to share it with everybody on the highway.

Cool picture! I have one like it of a crab spider framed against the cloudless, blue sky. It looks like it's just hovering there of it's own accord. Come to think of it, I might be able to pass it off as a UFO photo! *L* The Trans-Siberian Orchestra experience sounds amazing. I've seen them on TV before & was impressed, but I bet a live performance blew that away.
(I live in Abita Springs, BTW. Nice to "meet" you.)
Hi Lana. They said they'd see us next year. It was a great show and not terribly expensive as "A" concerts go.
Rob/Patsy:
I was wondering how you liked the show. We will miss it this year as I work and John will still be in New Orleans. Glad you had a good time.
He could have come with us, Nancy. :) The more I think back on it, the more I liked it. They say they'll be back next year. I'll probably go if so.
Rob:
I agree that the more I thought about the performance the more I enjoyed it. We've seen them twice, and while the Christmas story part was the same, the ending portion was similar but different than the previous year.
