My friend, Kim, has a fun song posted. She's quite talented. Check it out.

Lovely story and cemetery.

We bought two new Hoover vacuum cleaners yesterday. One for upstairs and one for downstairs. They weren't the top-of-the-line variety but they weren't all that cheap, either. You can spend a boatload of money on these things if you're inclined. The two we bought are bag-less and they are about 100 times better than the single 20yr old Hoover Regina Housekeeper they are replacing. I have only one thing to say about what these new ones pick up that the older one was leaving behind that was only suspected but now confirmed: Yuck.

I offer an image from the CrabAppleLane backyard from this morning and then I'm off to see how much Kilz I can inhale/ingest.

As luck would have it, we happened to be home when this lovely creature graced our backyard. Apologize for the soft focus. I shot this through our kitchen door glass. She never afforded us an unobstructed view and that's probably what kept her from seeing us and bolting. My wife throws whole corn out onto this part of the yard.

About today's QOTD, I guess there's nothing like taking a man at his word.

Quote of the Day
When he went back and took the hair sample and that was negative, the lie detector test and that was negative, we'll let due process take care of itself. If Travis took a test and it was positive, after what he promised me, he wouldn't be on the football team right now.

A deer! I'm so jealous! When we first moved to our house (about 15 months ago,) we had a gray fox visit a couple of times. Being a shy creature by nature, he's long gone now. I wish I had my camera back then (but at least I have the memory.)

Thanks, Rob!

That vacuum looks like a robot. I had a Hoover before my current Dirt Devil. I liked it, but I forgot to empty it one time and burnt out the motor. Don't forget to empty yours! The Dirt Devil is okay, but I wish I had gotten another Hoover.

Pretty doe. :)

I listened to "Lunch With Brian" and enjoyed it a lot. The music in the background was really great and the words of the song were sweet and funny. I tried to listen to other songs in her album, but they wouldn't come up. Does she sing for a living?

I get foxes here, too, Lana. Red ones and brown ones but I've never seen a gray one. Deer are starting to come around the house quite regularly now. For the first ten years here, we never saw them here.

It probably looks high tech because of that Ferrari red color. I love the color. Patsy ... not so much. We're pleased with them so far.

Kim doesn't sing full time for a living, Mom. That's a really tough business to get into. She makes music because she loves to.
