It was another gorgeous day in City Park yesterday. Couldn't resist taking out the camera.

Reminds me of long division problems from my school days.

Saw my first NFL game here. It was 1965 or 1966 and I believe it was just called City Park Stadium then. It was an exhibition game featuring the St Louis Cardinals versus the Baltimore Colts. Both teams have moved since. Dad took me and he was a big LSU Tiger fan. Former Tiger, Jerry Stovall, played cornerback for the Cardinals so we were cheering for them. That Unitas fellow for the Colts had other ideas. I don't remember much except that the Colts wore blue. I had always seen them in white on TV. Johnny Unitas wore his high top cleats and I'm not sure he missed a pass. The Cardinals intercepted a pass near the Colts goal line late in the game and ran it in for a touchdown. The Colts won, 22-10. I can't find any box scores or accounts of that game. Wonder if they exist somewhere.

Did anyone notice that Ted on How I Met Your Mother was wearing a New Orleans Saints t-shirt in one scene on Monday night's episode (The Yips)? You can watch the episode on their website if you like. Good on you, Ted.

Quote of the Day
Is it going to be a Jeff Garcia game plan? Well, if Garcia plays, then it will be. But if Jeff doesn't play, then what do you prepare for? I think keeping it a little unsure can be a good thing strategically from our standpoint.

Blog of the day here.

Quote from said blog: "Second, she seems to be more carefree these days. She no longer looks over her shoulder every few minutes just to check if I'm okay."

I hate to be obtuse, but please spell out the analogy for me. Thanks.

Thanks for sharing the story about the football game. How cool!
FYI, I'm tagging you for the middle-name meme. Stop by my blog for the rules; http://lucidflora.blogspot.com/2007/11/middle-name-meme.html
(I also know how busy people are, so I won't be offended if you ignore this "tag." Peace!)

18 trees is what I counted, but I really wanted a little more clear description of what you meant. Now everyone knows about me.
