Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk is good for at least one unnecessary cheap shot per week. This time, he suggests Atlanta Falcons head coach, Mike Smith, made a critical 4th down overtime decision to go for a first down from his own 29 yard line against the Saints from the comfort and security of a new contract extension just signed. If you're going to crucify him for the decision, then have the courtesy to give him credit for the stones it took to make it. I don't care for Mike Smith Atlanta Falcons football but he gets a bump up over John Fox with that call. The Falcons are too methodical and annoying to suit me but I've hated the Falcons since the Saints came into existence so take my silliness here with a grain of salt.
